When I pass by a soldier, my first reaction is to say “thank you,” but I feel as though these words are not enough to express my gratitude and admiration for what the military does for us.

I’m thrilled to announce that our friends at Soldier’s Heart were honored at the 2014 We Serve Awards for Excellence in Mentoring for their impressive work with the veteran community. Soldier’s Heart offers a healing path to veterans and their families suffering emotional wounds resulting from military service. It’s wonderful to see such positive strides being made to improve the lives of our veterans and military families. May it continue!

The We Serve Awards, hosted by We Serve, Inc., are given for merit in the healing of the minds and spirits as well as the bodies of our brave military personnel and veterans. Each year, veterans and military family members themselves nominate and vote for those service organizations across the country that they feel have made the most tangible, holistic, and compassionate contributions to the military community.

Congratulations, Soldier’s Heart! Your work is admirable and I hope it inspires others to make a difference.
