Our hearts go out to all the people living through the devastation in Nepal. Our thoughts and prayers are also with all the professionals and organizations bringing food, medical care, clean water, and shelter as well as emotional and psychological support to the Nepalese.

Many of us feel helpless in the face of such tragedy. If you’re looking for a way to do something to help, consider donating to one of these great charities. They were in Nepal when the earthquake hit, and are on-the-ground still to support local residents with humanitarian and rescue efforts.

UNICEF Nepal recently launched a radio talk show to help cope with the aftermath of the deadly 7.8 earthquake. To donate or learn more about UNICEF Nepal go to www.unicefusa.org.

OXFAM is dedicating its efforts to delivering lifesaving essentials to urban and hard-to-access rural areas. To donate or learn more about OXFAM efforts go to www.oxfam.org.

CARE has been working in Nepal since 1978. In the aftermath of the earthquake, your donations will help feed families, and provide clean drinking water, and emergency shelter. To donate or learn more about CARE go to www.care.org.

Global Giving has raised $2.6m to support 69 locally-driven partners for earthquake relief in Nepal. To donate or learn more about Global Giving go to www.globalgiving.org.

World Vision has distributed supplies such as tarps, blankets, roofing, hygiene kits, cooking kits, mosquito nets, and sleeping bags. To donate or learn more about World Vision go to www.worldvision.org

On behalf of myself and the Rewire Me team we thank you for any support you can offer Nepal.
