It’s important to me to live mindfully. I meditate every day, walk, do yoga, and try to be present as much as possible so I can fully experience each moment. While I know that living more mindfully can bring peace of mind and clarity, I also know that the practice of mindfulness feels inaccessible to many.
I recently came across Goldie Hawn’s new book, 10 Mindful Minutes: A Journal, a companion to her 10 Mindful Minutes: Giving Our Children—and Ourselves—the Social and Emotional Skills to Reduce Stress and Anxiety for Healthier, Happier Lives. I’m excited to share it with you because Goldie makes it easy for anyone to start their own mindfulness practice.
With reflections from Goldie and quotes throughout to inspire, affirmations for creating a better frame of mind, and lots of white space for writing, this beautiful interactive book can guide you to greater self-awareness.
With 10 Mindful Minutes: A Journal, you can follow the prompts to bring mindfulness to many different areas of your life. Some of my favorite chapters are “Attitude of Gratitude,” “Sitting with Fear,” “Becoming Compassionate,” and “Tending to Kindness.” Most of all, I love that this book is infused with optimism, something that comes to mind when I think of Goldie Hawn.
If you’re looking for a good summer read to take on vacation, consider 10 Mindful Minutes: A Journal. You’ll return home with less stress about your career, relationships, and life in general. Believe it or not, a lot can change for the better in ten minutes.
